345 Squadron, Air Training Corps
The Air Training Corps is a voluntary youth group set up in 1941 to provide young people with access to a wide range of activities, ranging from Adventure Training to Flying. If you're between the age of 13 and 20, and are interested in what the ATC can offer, check out our Interested in Joining section.
At 345 (City of Lancaster) Squadron, we offer a wide range of activities for young people designed to provide personal challenges and to develop teamwork and individual skills such as leadership. This is done through an exciting range of activities both indoors and outdoors, utilising military and civilian training facilities and techniques.
The Aims of the ATC:
- To encourage among young men and women a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
- To provide training which will be useful both in the Services and civilian life.
- To foster the spirit of adventure.
- To develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
